Creating a hero shot of Park Hyatt Milan’s architecture
All hotels need images that form part of their recognizable identity.
Park Hyatt Milan has an incredibly unique glass dome which can be fully appreciated by the human eye.
However it had never been photographed as a single image due to the limitations of photographic cameras.
A client’s immediate reaction upon entry to the hotel is looking at the dimensions of such an architectural gem.
To enable us to capture the full space of the Dome, we used a specific camera used in architecture.
We shot 12 different images separately to compose a single photo, which we sewed up with a technique called “photographic stitching”.
Doing so, we achieved the same view perceived by the human eye.
The result is that which all properties seek, an image that represents its most characteristic space and that undoubtedly best represents that property.
